XR600

Designed for measurement of osteoporosis for clinics that do not need to measure the whole body.

XR-600 is a pencilbeam scanner, which, with a patented filter system “Dynamic filtration”, provides the most advanced and accurate measurement of the bones.

Norland is the only scanner in the market who calibrate and test for both precision and accuracy. It is therefore often used for clinical trials and there is a database of a very large number of studies made on Norland scanners.

It is equipped with two PhotoMultiplier tubes which automatically detects high and low energy. These scanners are experiencing never “x-ray flux starvation” or “Saturation” thereby giving much consistence and exact measurements. This is something other manufacturers are struggling to deliver.

The technology behind a XR-600, with optimized high and low energy tælletal, provides stable measurements regardless of patient thickness, independent of the varying operators.
